  • A 62’ Covered Round Riding Arena with observation deck
  • A 3,000-square-foot multi-purpose and training room
  • A Stable with four stalls with runs, tack room
    and feed room
  • Three paddocks
  • Drive and Bridle Path

NEC currently is operating at capacity at its existing facilities and has a wait list of more than 20 therapeutic riders with special needs.  With the new covered round riding arena, NEC will be able to expand its programming hours to alleviate the waiting list as well as add evening Operation Strides sessions and add interactive therapeutic vaulting to its equine-assisted therapy programs.

The multi-purpose and training room will provide the much needed meeting and function space for volunteer events, orientations and trainings as well as classroom space for Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) instructor certification trainings and research projects.

The stables and paddocks will provide stalls needed to expand NEC’s herd of therapy horses over time as well as space for horses to rest and recuperate if needed.

The circular, crushed-shell surface drive and bridle path will serve as an exercise bridle path for NEC’s therapy horses.

Partially financed by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Collier County Community and Human Services Department.
