Are you feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected?

We invite you to Disconnect to Reconnect, a restorative, equine-assisted workshop created for anyone who could use the opportunity to slow down, step away from everyday demands, and reset.

Held in the peaceful setting of Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, this unique experience combines guided interactions with horses, mindfulness and grounding practices, and expressive art to encourage reflection, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful connection.

You’ll spend intentional time alongside your equine partner through gentle, ground-based activities designed to help you become more present and aware of your own responses. Horses offer honest, nonjudgmental feedback, creating opportunities to explore stress patterns, boundaries, communication, and connection in an entirely different way.

Expressive art activities provide another opportunity for reflection and self-expression, allowing participants to explore thoughts and emotions beyond words. No artistic experience or ability is needed.

The workshop is led by Anne Ateeka Contee, LCPC, a licensed mental health therapist with extensive training in trauma-informed, somatic, nature-based, and equine-assisted approaches. Anne creates a supportive environment where there is no pressure to share, perform, or “fix” anything. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own comfort level throughout the experience.

No horse experience is required, and there is no riding.

Hosted by Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, the workshop takes place in a professionally managed environment with an emphasis on participant safety, equine welfare, and thoughtful facilitation.

Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, a life transition, relationship challenges, or simply feeling like you need time to reconnect with yourself, you do not need a specific diagnosis or reason to participate.

Come as you are. Spend a few hours away from the noise, alongside horses, and leave with practical tools, new perspectives, and experiences you can carry into everyday life.

Registration

$250 per person, per workshop

Registration includes the full workshop experience, take-home materials, and refreshments.

Participants are welcome to register for more than one workshop date.

Space is intentionally limited to just 10 participants per date, allowing for a personal and meaningful experience.

Private Workshops for Groups & Organizations

Disconnect to Reconnect can also be reserved exclusively for your group or organization.

Businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, professional teams, support groups, and other groups may inquire about reserving all 10 spaces for a private workshop experience.

A private workshop gives your group the opportunity to experience Disconnect to Reconnect together in a supportive, intimate setting while maintaining the same professionally facilitated experience.

Private workshop availability is limited and must be arranged in advance. Contact NTRC to inquire about reserving a workshop date for your group or organization.

Registration & Cancellation Policy

Advance registration and payment are required to reserve your space. All workshop registrations are nonrefundable.

If you are unable to attend your registered workshop, your registration may be transferred to another available Disconnect to Reconnect workshop date when NTRC is notified at least 7 days in advance. Transfers are subject to availability.

Cancellation or transfer requests received within 7 days of the workshop are not eligible for transfer, and the registration fee will be forfeited. Participant substitutions may be permitted with advance notice.

If NTRC cancels or reschedules a workshop, participants will have the option to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund.
