Update Reeling for Riders Canceled

Naples, FL – February 12, 2025 – Due to the presence and growing impact of Red Tide in Collier and Lee County, Naples Therapeutic Riding Center has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Reeling for Riders Fishing Tournament on March 8th. We appreciate the support of our anglers, sponsors, volunteers and the community.
While we won’t be gathering on the water this year, we invite you to join us for our next fundraiser, the Kentucky Derby Party held on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Naples Therapeutic Riding Center Announces the Reeling for Riders Fishing Tournament

Naples, FL – February 5, 2025 – The Naples Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC) is excited to announce the return of its annual Reeling for Riders Fishing Tournament, presented by Richard M. Kravis, M.D., F.A.C.P., on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Held during peak fishing season, this event offers anglers the chance to fish for snook and redfish while supporting NTRC’s mission to improve the lives of children and adults through therapeutic riding and other equine-assisted programs.

Entry Fees

  • Team Entry Fee: $400 (unlimited anglers per boat, four anglers per shore team)
  • Individual Entry Fee: $100 (ideal for kayak fishing, shore anglers, and small vessel boaters)

A Day of Reeling in Impact

The tournament welcomes anglers of all skill levels for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

  • Captain’s Meeting: Friday, March 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM at NTRC
  • Awards Dinner: Saturday, March 8, 2025, at NTRC

Prizes

  • Team Awards (Open, Chartered, Shore): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
  • Largest Catch: Redfish & Snook
  • Individual Awards (Open and Shore): 1st place for Largest Redfish & Largest Snook

Introducing the Junior Division

New this year, NTRC introduces a Junior Division for anglers aged 12 and under. Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Largest Fish
  • Most Unusual Catch

Junior angler entries are free with a team or individual entry.

  • Scholarships for participants
  • Care for therapy horses
  • Expansion of services for individuals in need
